Hello Mates,

Where to start? Lectures have been amazing and have been challenged to step outside of my comfort zone and also have been challenged not get too comfortable in Lancaster. I feel God is calling me to other nations to reach out and really show His love which brings me to week 6. The title was missions and and the end of a week which completely pumped me up for missions. We did an assignment called "adopt a nation" and God really gave me a heart for Somalia which I didn't really have before. We were challenged to pray, give and even go which was way too exciting to think about! The following week was Authority and Submission which was pretty tough. Going into the week I really was wondering how this was actually going to apply to me but quickly understood that God calls us to obey authority whether you like that person or not which was a big challenge for me. The speaker Steve Aherne, who was insane, started off the first week by speaking prophetic words  over people and straight up just telling people about their lives for the most part...I felt like he was staring into my soul, regardless, he told me something that God has been sharing with me and it really came together for me. It was a great week that was completely lead by the Holy Spirit. At some points during the week, he would just go off on rants which was not part of his teaching because he felt the Holy Spirit was telling him someone needed to hear it and it was so dead on. The guy could have breathed fire out of his mouth and I wouldn't have thought twice about it. Fear of the Lord was the following week which was really good and was a good reminder to live a life of hating sin and loving God. A simple thought but something we need to be reminded of often because of our stupidity, or at least mine. This week we are finishing up Lordship and today really challenged me. The speaker gave us a list of things that we need to let go of and give to God and man...at the end of the list it was a lot to handle but God calls us to sacrifice things and for example, an object or a talent is nothing to give to God because God gave us His son which in turn gave us life. I learned this week that God will never call us to give up more than He gave, Jesus can always relate to us sacrificing things for Him because there wasn't anything Jesus did not sacrifice for us. These past 2 weeks have really broken me to give everything I am to God because when we are completely humbled and surrendered, that is when we our going to maximize all God wants to do in our lives and when He can use us the most. Our speaker this week Arjan gave us a quote that blew me away and really challenged me and hopefully it challenges you too. "If God isn't the Lord of all, He isn't the Lord at all" Wow, powerful and convicting. It really made me think twice about what exactly I'm still not laying down in my life. I found out my outreach locations and am heading to London in about a month which I am so pumped about! I will be there for about 6 weeks and then heading to Hyderabad, India. I am so stoked to see what the Lord has in store for us and how we can be used to further His kingdom! But with outreach comes finances. I am in need of around $4500 by tuesday. If you feel God laying on your heart to give or even pray for our team that would be appreciated. I want to thank you all for the support so far and am trusting God to provide all funds to make it possible for me to go on outreach. The link is below and if donating, make sure you go through the steps...Music DTS, paying for student, and my name. If you have any questions you can email me at bennertyler@yahoo.com or find me on facebook.
Thank you!

Hello Everyone,

I hope all of you back at home are doing well and enjoying your summer. The weather here isn't exactly nice 90 degree days so don't take it for granted. It is pretty nice here minus a little rain here and there but overall cannot complain! It has been amazing to see my personal progress and how much the Lord has just been revealing to me about Him. Every week seems to be getting better and better and 3 weeks ago was Repentance and Forgiveness week which was just awesome. We learned a lot about God's pain for sin and how we sometimes seem to not realize how serious sin is and blow it off like it's okay. God calls us to repent of our sins and forgive people who hurt us and I just had a simple revelation that we need to really have that all sorted out with God to really hear His voice. We had an application day of Repentance and Forgiveness which was pretty much 1 person going to the front of the group and repenting for sins and forgiving people who have hurt them in the past which you can imagine was intense. It was a really freeing day which was around 14 hours long and you could see just God healing peoples hearts and really bringing freedom to peoples lives which was so amazing. Last week was Intercession/Worship and going into it I thought Intercession was more for people who weren't on the worship team or leading the church but for the people who didn't have a role in leadership... God completely destroyed that thought I had. By the end of the week I was wanting more and more time for intercession. It is really exciting to actually hear God's voice and be in a group of people listening to hear God and actually getting words from God that match up with what other people were getting! Every thursday night we have city evangelism where we go out into the city and listen to hear from God about the places, people and things we should pray for. We start by being in a group and listening to hear what God has to say and then go the places we feel Him asking us to go. Starting off, I had a terrible attitude about evangelism and felt it was pretty boring. I bought a Hacky Sack and we have been playing with it in between lectures. A couple of us guys thought it would be a good idea to take it and use it as an evangelism tool. We went out and it broke the ice for some really good conversations where we could pray for people and talk to them and just tell them how much God loves them. It was so awesome to evangelize but have fun in the process and in return really fellowship with people! That weekend God really called me to focus on Him last weekend and just be in the word and be with Him all weekend. I was dragging my feet all saturday wishing I was at the beach and with some of my friends but I knew it was what God wanted me to do. I had this lie in my head that being with God was going to be so boring and nothing was going to happen. I thought that He wanted to tell me the next steps after DTS but He really wanted me to just grow in wisdom and grow in Him. Sunday came around and I was worshiping then spending some time in prayer asking God to show me more and reveal what He wanted me to hear for the weekend. He gave me Proverbs 3 and I just started reading from Proverbs 3...which was about gaining wisdom! It was so awesome to see God work in me and answer my prayers! I came away from last weekend with a so much more of God and all that He calls me to in my life. This week was about the Father Heart of God. It was really good and learned a lot about more of how God sees us and how much He loves us but it really didn't hit me till application day on friday. We had 3 people in the front to be intercessor's and pretty much just speak what God was putting on their heart from Him to say. It was really awesome to feel the Father Heart of God and to hear what He thinks of me. This week will mark the half way point of my DTS and it is going by so fast! I have already learned so much and have grown an insane amount and cannot wait for more that is in store in the weeks to come! If you guys could pray for just new revelations of God and me to really seek out what God has for me and to understand exactly what that is that would be awesome! I also still do need help for my outreach funds so if you would like to support me you can make contributions online at ywamperth.org.au. Thank you guys again for all your support and I am just praying in faith that outreach funds will be provided!
This week 2 different people shared with me 3 of the same verses that they felt God wanted to give me which I will leave you with:
Joshua 1:7-9
"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
